What it returns

How many transactions wait in the chain's mempool right now — pending ones can be mined next, queued ones wait on an earlier nonce or on funds — and, when address is given, that wallet's waiting transactions, pending before queued, each by nonce. transactions is [] when the wallet has nothing waiting and null when no address was asked about. It is one node's view of the mempool: a transaction sent privately to a block builder never appears in it.

Parameters
Parameter	Description
`address` query · string · optional	The sending wallet, 0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters. Optional.
`chain` path · string · required	Ethereum or BNB; every other chain returns 400 (they show no public mempool).

Response fields

A JSON response. Every field is always present; null means the value could not be established, never zero.

`counts.queued`	integer	Transactions waiting on an earlier nonce or on funds.
`address`	string \| null	The wallet asked about, lowercase; null when none was.
`transactions`	object[] \| null	The wallet's waiting transactions; `[]` when none; null when no address was asked about.
`transactions[].state`	string	Which part of the mempool it waits in.
`transactions[].hash`	string	The transaction hash.
`transactions[].from`	string	The sender, lowercase.
`transactions[].to`	string \| null	The recipient, lowercase; null for a contract creation.
`transactions[].nonce`	integer	The sender's nonce.
`transactions[].valueWei`	string	Native coin sent, in wei, as a decimal string.
`transactions[].gas`	integer	The gas limit.
`transactions[].gasPrice`	string \| null	Gas price in wei, decimal string; null when the transaction does not carry one.
`transactions[].maxFeePerGas`	string \| null	EIP-1559 fee cap in wei; null for a legacy transaction.
`transactions[].maxPriorityFeePerGas`	string \| null	EIP-1559 tip cap in wei; null for a legacy transaction.
`transactions[].type`	integer	Transaction type: 0 legacy, 1 access list, 2 EIP-1559, and so on.
`transactions[].input`	string	The calldata, lowercase hex; `0x` for a plain transfer.
