Discovery and markets API
How much value do price oracles secure over time?
Daily DeFi value secured by price oracles in USD, all oracles or one (Chainlink, Pyth, RedStone and more), overall or on one chain, over 7 to 365 days or all history.
/api/external/discovery/oracle-historyWhat it returns
The total value locked in DeFi protocols that rely on a price oracle, per UTC day dated 00:00 UTC, oldest first, over the trailing window in days: every oracle, or the one in oracle, across every chain or on the one in chain. A protocol is counted under one oracle only, so the oracles add up to the total; protocols pricing themselves and smaller oracles count only in the total. The window counts back from the newest point's own day, not from today, and the newest point can be today's partial day. A day missing from the record is left out rather than filled in. For an oracle on a chain it secures nothing on, points is empty.
