What it returns

The brief of protocol-forks; prefer it unless you need every fork. The same slug. It lists the 50 forks with the most value locked, each exactly as protocol-forks lists it, and over every fork adds the value locked in them together and how many fall in each category, plus the protocols this one is itself a fork of.

Chains

This endpoint is not tied to a chain: it takes no chain in its request.

`slug` path · string · required	A DeFi protocol's slug, e.g. "pancakeswap-amm" — not a token mint or contract address, and not scoped to any single chain.

A JSON response. Every field is always present; null means the value could not be established, never zero.

`name`	string	Its name.
`forkCount`	integer	How many protocols are forks of it.
`forkTvlUsd`	number \| null	The value locked in every fork together today, in USD, over the forks whose value is known. Null when none is.
`categories`	object[]	Every category among the forks, the most forks first.
`categories[].category`	string \| null	What kind of protocol, e.g. `Dexs`. Null for the forks whose kind is unknown.
`categories[].forkCount`	integer	Forks of that kind.
`forks`	object[]	The 50 forks with the most value locked, unknown value last, then by name.
`forks[].slug`	string \| null	Its slug, or `null` when the protocol directory does not list it.
`forks[].name`	string	The protocol.
`forks[].category`	string \| null	What kind of protocol it is, e.g. `Dexs` or `Lending`.
`forks[].tvl`	number \| null	The value locked in it today, in USD.
`forkOf`	object[]	The protocols it is itself a fork of, by name.
`forkOf[].slug`	string \| null	Its slug, or `null` when the protocol directory does not list it.
`forkOf[].name`	string	The protocol.
