The sectors (cat, ai, x402, trump…) trading hardest right now by an activity-based ranking, with their combined market cap, liquidity, 24h volume and 5m/1h/6h/24h market-cap moves.
/api/external/discovery/trending-sectorsWhat it returns
The on-chain narratives trading hardest right now — cat, ai, x402, trump — ranked by an activity-based measure, each with the combined market cap, liquidity and 24h volume of its tokens and how its market cap moved over the last 5 minutes, hour, 6 hours and day, in percent and in USD. This is not the market-cap sector directory `sectors` publishes: the list is short, turns over as attention moves, and its ids are a different id space. Pass an id to trending-sector-tokens for the tokens behind one sector.
Chains
This endpoint is not tied to a chain: it takes no chain in its request.

A JSON response. Every field is always present; null means the value could not be established, never zero.

sectors[].id | string | The sector id, e.g. cat or x402 — what trending-sector-tokens takes. Not a market-sector id (sectors) or an on-chain sector id (sector-pools): the three id spaces do not overlap. |
