Discovery and markets API
How has the whole crypto market moved over time?
Total crypto market cap and 24h volume over the last day (hourly) or 7, 30, 90, 365 days or all history since 2013 (daily). No chain, no token: the whole market.
/api/external/discovery/global-market-historyWhat it returns
A time series of the entire crypto market across all chains and venues: total market cap and trailing 24h volume in USD at each point. days=1 answers hourly points; every longer window answers one point per day at 00:00 UTC, and max reaches back to April 2013. Each point's volume is the 24h volume as of that instant, not a calendar-day total. volumeUsd24h is null where no volume was recorded — every day before March 2018, and usually the newest daily point, whose day is still in progress. Windows are refreshed separately, so the newest point of one window may be a day behind another's, and the newest hourly market cap can differ from the current snapshot by a few percent.
Chains
This endpoint is not tied to a chain: it takes no chain in its request.
